We already have a solid infrastructure for testing purposes. However, it does not support cavatools yet. In scope of these tasks, we need to integrate cavatools into our test infrastructure via pygdbmi.

I don't recall doing any of that work and you did all the documentation from what I can see of the commit history you linked, therefore I think you should just take all of it. if there is some portion I did that I forgot, I hereby donate it to you.
